Ta-Da!

I finished Blue Hour!

New News

So I'm about fifty pages from finishing Blue Hour.
And I've given it a whole lot of thought, and after I'm finished with Blue Hour I'm taking a short break from Aria and doing other books instead.
So there will be a long time in between me finishing Blue Hour and even starting on the third installment of Aria's story, Blood Moon.

P.S. I'm super excited about Twilight having been moved up, but really sad about Harry Potter.
I know, I know, that news is old, but I haven't been able to get on this in quite a while.

Sidenote

P.S. Comic-Con was amazing.
Next year I'm going every day including Preview Night.
Eeek!

Celebrities

No one tells you how to act when you meet an actor.
It's hard.
I met so many it was frightening.
Honestly, is there really a right way?
First time I met an actor he was sick, coughing, and basically just autographed something and his publicist signaled me away.
Second time I downright almost died. A Welsh accent is honestly beautiful (to me, duh!). Is it unique to have a conversation with an actor that's so intriguing and enthralling he forgot to sign the picture until your friend mentioned the time, and then he called you sweetie?
Anyways.
I have pictures.
Way too many.
I also have video footage.
Not enough.
I'll be posting up the best pictures soon enough, but for now I have video footage of Twilight and Push up on youtube.
Guess which account!

Literary Queries

I also happened to send out those literary queries to those literary agents I've been looking at to get my book, Shadow, published.
Thought I would share :]
Cross your fingers for me?

Comic Con

So, where have I been, you may ask. Well, I've been busy writing, talking to my boyfriend (eek, I know), watching movies (Have you SEEN The Incredible Hulk?!), and writing.
I've also been getting jazzed up about going to see the Twilight cast at Comic Con!
O-M-G, I know. It took two whole months to influence Mr. Father Man to even THINK about going, and now we're booking hotel rooms, buying the badges online, looking at different airlines for the best flight price. It's really happening.
And here I thought that finishing a novel was exciting.
Pfft...
Okay, yes, that was quite thrilling. But meeting actors and one of your favorite authors?
Pinch me, I'm dreaming.
Definitely can't wait for July 24th. I even might meet "Dwight Schrute" from The Office, and people from Heroes and Doctor Who.
I'll be sure to get loads of pictures and post as many as I can on here after the fact.
Oh, that reminds me, I now am vlogging. Still have no idea what "vlogging" really and truly is, but apparently I'm doing it.
Yes, so if you want to keep updated on anything and everything...
I added the link to the links on the right of my posts...
P.S. I got ANOTHER idea and am now working on my fifth novel (yikes, I'm dying of too many ideas. Please give me a clone pronto! Or at least a watch that can stop time). This one is awkward to discuss, as my characters seem to gain minds of their own, and this one in particular can't stop thinking about a certain someone I'm not liking him thinking about. It's about a secret agency, sort of like M.I.B., only with less comedy and more Hellboy moments.
Oh, and if you know someone who is in the mood for a good read, want to give them the link to my fictionpress account? You're a doll (or, err, whatever you call a man... O_O)
Don't be afraid to leave comments.

His Name Was Charlie...

(Most of this has nothing to do with my writing. But if you suffer the non writing part you'll get to the writing part.)

Yesterday the most amazing thing happened to me. Well, one of the most at least.
My mare finally gave birth. It's exciting, twice as exciting as this usually would be, because last year her baby was a stillborn and so we've been waiting a while for this to happen. We were worried it would happen twice. Thankfully it didn't.
I just wanted to share the happy news :]
He's so adorable! Here's the pictures in case you're curious. I love him to death. :]
I nicknamed him Charlie Chaplin for the time being, since he has a top hat on his head. If only he had a little mustache too.
My mare is, of course, the bigger horse. Little Charlie is the small, white one.
And here's one just to show that this really is my new little joy in the world...
And now to speak of my writing...
I got a new idea for a new book. I know, I know. I haven't even finished with the others yet. But sadly this one won't leave my head. I feel like the main character in the novel, I'm hearing voices in my head! They won't stop! Please someone help me!
At least they're not telling me to KILL, KILL, KILL. That's a plus isn't it?
Either way, now I'm in the works of four - read it FOUR - novels. I don't think my schoolwork can survive this much writing time. Argh!
I have people waiting for the sequel to Shadow, and people waiting for the next chapter to 1647, plus my pride and joy at the moment, As Memory Fades. What's a girl to do?
I wish I were in my time traveler novel... At least then maybe I'd be dating a time traveler...

Birthdays and Bad Boys

This post has absolutely nothing to do with my writing... Forewarning you all...

So I had planned to have a huge party for my birthday, but sadly that didn't pan out, and so I ended up only having two people hang out with me yesterday. It started out amazing, what with a great see of Iron Man and all (I definitely recommend that movie, it lives up to its expectations in my opinion). Then my two friends and I went out for pizza (seeing as it was only about three?) and I saw another friend of mine who I haven't seen in quite a long time. That brightened up the day.
But the best part was back at my place, after the break for ice cream (I'm a food junkie, what can I say?)... when my best friend and I made dorky and silly cupcakes with random smiles and black eyes. It was an enjoyable evening, loads better than what I expected and loads better than having a huge party.
So that's about it... Just wanted to let you all know I was alive... If any of you even care. Mhm.
Until next time...

Stanford and Rizzo

^^ That's a link to my prologue of 1647. I finally caved in and added it to fictionpress (but believe me, it's copyrighted. Again, blame the nagging mother).
I also wrote two more chapters, so I am getting closer to finishing it and then having two books in need of a publisher.
So that's basically all I had to post about. Oh, and if you don't mind and enjoy videos on youtube, check out my latest one also based on 1647.
It's on my youtube account, which has a link to the right of this post (I think). The video I am talking about is the featured one on my "channel."
I hope you enjoy your first week of May (I know I will definitely enjoy my 2nd one. I turn another year older May 6th. Oh the horror.
Actually, on another note that has nothing to do with my books, I went to Stanford today. It was amusing, if I overlook the fact I had to get a shot and blood taken. Sometimes having a mystery illness seriously doesn't pay very well... (ha ha). No, but seriously, I don't think this doctor has any clue what I have either (like the 60 before him).
Okay, until next time...
Happy early Memorial Day to whoever reads my blogs, in case I don't post before then.

Curiosity Killed the Cat... Or So They Say...

So, yes, the title of my post has nothing to do with the actual post. I just really thought that the sentence was catchy, cool, and it was stuck in my head all freaking day so I had to put it down somewhere.
Today was another day of searching for a Literary Agent. I haven't found someone good enough with grammar and such yet to edit my story Shadow, so I can't send it off to anyone just yet. At least I have the literary query done. Yes! I'm still not quite sure what to categorize the story under, so for now I left that part blank. But it's better than not having anything done.
And I have officially hit the half mark on my sequel to Shadow - Blue Hour. My original goal was to have the story finished around 600 pages, but I'm guessing it might only get done at about 500 pages (which is still pretty darn thick of a novel). So, if you can't count, that's 250 pages I have done on the sequel.
In total I have ideas for 5 books to be written in the story of Aria Hale. She's my favorite of the heroines I write about (probably because she's the one most like me - with her clumsiness and attitude, not her cool life and hot boyfriend).
Right now I'm procrastinating ending the first in the Bellezza Rizzo series, since I can't figure out yet how to tie everything together. But, I'm working on it. So believe you me, I'm working on it... And I do my best after procrastinating...
If you have absolutely no idea to anything I'm talking about (which is probably more than half of you?) you can check out my youtube account and see for yourself.
www.youtube.com/vampifan8
the "movie trailers" to my books are on there... to catch your attention :D
And if you're interested in the first of my Fille de Loup series, you can check that out on my fictionpress account http://www.fictionpress.com/~filledeloup8
*note, Shadow and everything about it (from idea to names) is copyrighted... (As is the idea and names and things like that for my other two books on my youtube account.)
This is quite a long post, I must say. But I just don't want to bother to wait until tomorrow to post another one... Just so I have two neat little posts instead of one huge post.
So here's the ending to my ONE HUGE POST --> I have nothing really written down about my book As Memory Fades. I have tidbits, and whatnots, but nothing that would go down as "good." So if that's the story you're most interested in, sorry but I got nothing to enthuse you with.
Thanks for bothering to read this (or maybe just skim it). If you did, you should contact me on my youtube account, or even my fictionpress account... Because I would love to hear from you, honestly.
And if you're a publisher or a literary agent... call me ;] (bahaha, so I can have my imaginary friend's life shown to the world... nothing else implied).

May the Weirdo In the Back Please Stand Up?

My name? Alex. That's all you need to know about me personally.
I have a life, friends, fun, horses, and a dog. But my most prized possession is my stories. Yes, fictional people are sadly more important to me than real ones.
Currently I'm in the middle of writing two novels, as well as searching to get my finished one published. So, in all, three novels. No, I don't mean to brag, sorry if it comes off that way.
I started writing them before I read Stephenie Meyer's novels, and no she's not an inspiration. My inspirations are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Blood and Chocolate.
The first one is titled Shadow - and the summary of it that you would find on the back of a real book is to the right of this post. Feel free to leave comments, letting me know what I have to work on, if you like something or don't like something. If you find typos, or grammatical errors let me know?
The second one, which is still unfinished at the moment, is titled Blue Hour.
I am also writing on another series, and the first of it is called 1647 (currently a working title). It's about time travelers, which is a bit different than my werewolf and vampire obsession that shows up quite frequently in my other writings.
So, again, please let me know what you think - good or bad, I don't care.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy what you read. :]

P.S. It's all copyrighted, down to the last period. [You can blame my nagging mother for this post script message]
